Post Falls Dedicates Landings in Park

Near the Spokane river, the City of Post Falls dedicated a new project last Friday afternoon. According to David Flair, a Post Falls city employee, the Landings is a new park that is right next to the already existing Falls Park. The two parks will eventually be connected by a walking area.

Flair says the purpose of the new park is to provide an area for community events like farmer’s markets, concerts, etc. with the advantage of having a beautiful view overlooking the Spokane River and dam.

According to Flair, the Landings was a joint venture between the City of Post Falls and Avista. Avista budgeted 2.3 million dollars to pay for the project. The total construction time took less than a year. (Although including other parts of preparation the project took five years to compelte.)

In honor of the dedication, Post Falls was giving away free food to the attendees
