Driver Dies on Fourth of July Pass


According to a report from the Idaho State Police, a woman from Medimont, Idaho driving a Chevrolet Silverado collided with a Volvo semi-truck. The accident occurred just east of Wolf Lodge. The woman driving the Silverado was traveling the wrong direction on I-90 when her vehicle collided head-on with the semi-truck.

The driver of the semi-truck and his middle aged passenger, both from Homestead, Florida, were wearing their seatbelts, but were still in need of medical treatment which they received from a local hospital.

The driver of the smaller Silverado pickup truck was not as fortunate: she died at the scene of the accident. The woman’s family was notified of her death.

The road was blocked for three and a half hours while emergency responders worked at the scene.
